"Episode 3 - Breakdown"
Pearl Islands Friday, June 15th 2018
~Previously, on OCW Survivor: After dropping The Lost Soul, the Blue Dragons tribe embraced their name and formed a stronger unity with Zybala as their new member. The Blue Dragons surprised everyone by dominating the next tribal immunity challenge, winning food and supplies for their camp. The Cantadora tribe, meanwhile, stumbled, in part thanks to the disinterest from Anthony Wentz. Due to the way the challenge went, Detective Jack Puffer, Matt Meyhu, and Zybala were all sent to Exile Island. The remaining Cantadora members all unanimously voted out Wentz, making him the second wrestler to leave the game.~
CANTADORA TRIBE
After Tribal Council
_______________
~The Cantadora tribe is shown making their way back to their campground, where the bedding that they won in the first challenge was waiting for them. Annie drops back onto one of the cots, looking up at the sky. The Incredible One stokes the campfire, getting it back up to full strength, while Vargas takes a seat nearby. They all look over at each other, listening to the silence of the jungle night.~
The Incredible One: Well... it's not like anything is different. Puffer will be back tomorrow.
Annie Alvarez: Exactly. Camp's going to be about the same.
Chad Vargas: Fuck him. And fuck Pryde!
~The tribe goes back to their own thoughts, as we pan to a shot of the night sky. It's a pretty quiet tribe for the evening hours after their first Tribal Council.~
BLUE DRAGONS TRIBE
Victory
_______________
~We go to the Blue Dragons tribe, where the group is busy eating lunch from some of their spoils gained from the previous challenge. Canon finishes his portion, and hands the rest to Checkers. He still seems unsure about what happened.~
Curt Canon: Did we win?
~Kalinda facepalms.~
Kalinda Kriegsdottir: Yes, Kurt, we won the challenge. Good job with it, guys. I couldn't have done it without you. Literally. Those things were too big and unwieldy to move. You took direction well, and under my command we triumphed.
~There's a muted cheer from the rest of the tribe. They're happy they came out winners, at least.~
Kalinda Kriegsdottir: So despite most of you having horrible personality flaws, tonight you made excellent minions! And excellent minions deserve a reward. Well, a reward more than not being flung into the Bottomless Pit of Dispair. For now, anyway. So with all the food we won, I'm going to have the minions build us a nice icehouse to store all of our hard-won foodstuffs. Keep it cool, keep the bugs off of it, and make sure no simian interlopers (which include our rival tribes) steal out food. For now we'll put the foodstuffs in my cabin, where I have the coldfire burning to make it a nice, chilly 40 degrees. That's in Freedom Units. Ask a minion if you want something in particular.
~Kalinda rubs her hands together and looks at the chickens.~
Kalinda Kriegsdottir: These I have plans for. We won't be eating the chickens, but some of the eggs will be fair game.
~Kalinda continues to make her plans, as Brooks and Jones quietly sit nearby, just enjoying the fresh food.~
Curt Canon: Ya know what Kalinda you ain't to bad for a.....a whatever you are.I really think we all have a shot of making it to the end. I just have one question....who the hell decided to call us The Blue Dragons? We are the Red tribe, this name is confusing and doesn't make any sense.
Kalinda Kriegsdottir: Have you taken too many chairshots to the head, kiddo? You spent the entire time arguing on behalf of the team name the Blue Barracudas. And because dragons are decidedly more awesome than barracudas we went with that.
~Canon shakes his head, thinking that doesn't sound right, but Kalinda just sighs and goes back to admiring the chickens.~
EXILE ISLAND
The New Arrivals
_______________
~We go to a shot from Exile Island, where we see three separate boats arriving at different points to drop off the top performers of the last challenge. It's pretty amazing how the island really isn't that big, and yet it includes so many different landmarks and three men can land on it and not ever see the others. Strange, eh? We focus on Detective Jack Puffer as he walks along the beach.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Exile Island? What is this sorcery? Hmm...
~Puffer looks around, scoping out Exile Island.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Legend has it there's some type of idol living on this island that will grant a person with immunity. All I have to do is find it.
~Puffer begins searching the island. He finds a leaf and picks it up. The leaf has a few holes weathered into it.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Hmm, what could these holes indicate?
~Puffer tries connecting the holes in a variety of ways, hoping some type of message might be revealed. We cut away from Puffer and show Zybala walking towards the jungle. He looks around the island, holding his trusty spear.~
Zybala: Back here again. Ugh. On the bright side maybe I can find an immunity idol, or at least train my orangutan army to beat Meyhu in Yugioh.
~Zybala goes to walk around looking for something.. Anything...before he loses his sanity again. As Zybala disappears, we see Puffer continuing his journey. Upon following some weird, overly complicated arrangement of holes within some arbitrary leaf - Puffer looks around, confused.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Hmm...I see no idol.
~Puffer is standing on the edge of the island, near the each. He looks at the sand...then in every direction.~
Detective Jack Puffer: In fact...I don't even see the other contestants out here with me. I'm sure two other individuals were exiled along my side!
~Puffer thinks for a moment.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Maybe THEY are searching for an idol as well. I'd better try and locate this idol before they do.
~Even though Puffer has no idea what the idol is for...he feels as though his detective skills can't be shown up and hastens his quest in discovering the hidden idol. The camera cuts away to a different shot nearby.~
Matt Meyhu: Come out, come out, wherever you are...
~Matt Meyhu arrives at the Exile Island camp, covered in dirt and sand.~
Matt Meyhu: That damn jet pack has to be around here somewhere...
~He does a complete 360 scoping out new areas before dropping down into the sand.~
Matt Meyhu: On the bright side... If I can't find it, there's no way these two idiots stand a chance at finding it!
~As Meyhu relaxes, we go back one more time to the detective. Puffer pauses...he gets the feeling someone, somewhere is questioning his ability. A volleyball washes ashore. He picks it up, looking down at the typically mundane object.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Interesting...hello my little white, round friend.
~Puffer wonders if he's ever seen a black volleyball. This causes him to question whether or not the volleyball manufacturers are racist.~
Detective Jack Puffer: I've heard strange tales of volleyballs on remote islands. Tales of them being washed away into the middle of the ocean. Tales of them being stabbed to death by delusional psychopaths in search of respect and power...tales of malevolence indeed!
~Puffer drops the ball and kicks it out into the surf.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Goodbye my friend...be safe! No violence will come from you at the hands of JACK PUFFER!
~Puffer turns around, feeling very good about himself. In the background we see a giant shark shred the volleyball with its teeth. Puffer pauses...he wonders.~
Detective Jack Puffer: Was THAT the idol?
~Puffer continues on, as the time passes by. All three men spend their time separate from each other, searching for the idol. Who knows if any of them found the idol? Well, we know, but we're not telling, so you'll have to wait and see. Either way, all three men are retrieved from the island the next day to compete in the next challenge.~
HERO REWARDS CHALLENGE
There Can Be Only One
_______________
~The shot comes up on the sight of the challenge area. The first to appear are the three men coming from Exile Island, having finished their short stint away from their tribes. Meyhu, Puffer, and Zybala go to the designated tribe areas and wait. Next up, The Blue Dragons come out of the jungle, rejoining Zybala and immediately wanting to talk to him about his second trip to the island. The Verde VIP's appear, walking down the beach, and joining Meyhu. Pryde is standing and watching all of this, and looks back as the third tribe makes their way in.~
Pryde: Everyone, here's your first look at the new Cantadora tribe. Anthony Wentz voted out at the last Tribal Council.
~Nobody looks too surprised at who went home, as Wentz never seemed to want to be here. Puffer looks a little relieved that nothing crazy happened while he was gone. Pryde waits for everyone to settle down, then begins to speak.~
Pryde: So I know you guys were expecting a tribal immunity challenge tomorrow. Well, you should be still expecting it. Your three tribes will once again be going at it. But tonight, it's time to battle for a little something different. Something that could make a huge difference for what happens next for your tribe.
~Vargas just waves his hand at Pryde, wanting him to hurry the fuck up. He just wants to compete.~
Pryde: As you can see here, we've got a block of supplies behind me.
~Pryde pulls off the cover and reveals a set of fishing supplies. There are nets, spears, fishing poles, tools to clean fish, the works. And also, sitting behind the gear, is a small fishing canoe that would work great a little ways out past the waves. Everyone looks more interested now, knowing what a difference this gear could make.~
Pryde: Like it? Well, one of you has a chance to win it all. And yes, I meant "one of you". Tonight... we've got ourselves what they call a HERO challenge.
~Pryde points off to the left, where a tall, rounded platform has been set up out on the water. There look to be two padded weapons sitting on either side.~
Pryde: Tonight... everyone duels. I've got seven match-ups, randomly put together, with the only restriction being two tribe face off. After those seven fights, the losers will get one chance to get into the quarter-finals. That gives us eight, and we'll continue in tournament fashion until we have a final winner, even if it's two from the same tribe facing off at the end.
~Pryde slowly pulls an envelope out of his pocket.~
Pryde: Why, you ask? Because I've also got something for the final winner. Something that could make or break their game here in the Pearl Islands. It will be a choice the winner has to make. But we'll get to that once we've had our competition.
~Pryde puts away the envelope for safe keeping.~
Pryde: Shall we see who the toughest among us are?
~The battle begins, with the first pair, Julliet Brooks and The Incredible One, getting up on the platform to battle. The Incredible One looks extremely confident, waving the pugil stick back and forth. He charges as soon as the match begins, swinging hard at Brooks and knocking her backwards towards the edge. He tries to use his greater mass to quickly shove her over, but Brooks manages to lock onto TIO's stick with one arm, hanging backwards. The platform is more slippery than you would expect, and it suddenly tilts due to the weight of both wrestlers. Brooks and TIO topple over, both landing in the water. Pryde can be seen, smiling, from the shore.~
Pryde: Oh, did I not mention that the platform will move according to your weight? How silly of me. Also, worth nothing, it's not about who lands in the water first. If both fall in, neither moves on. Let's keep it going!
~More carefully, now, Sammy 3.0 and Harold Jones go up on the platform, retrieving the pugil sticks along the way. They feel it out, then move towards each other, meeting in the center. After a few cautious swings, Harold seems to get more of a feel for the movement. He ducks under a Sammy 3.0 swing and lashes out, nailing Sammy in the legs. Sammy topples over and slides backwards, unable to get a grip. The android falls into the water, and Jones steadies himself, staying in place.~
Pryde: Winner - Jones of the Blue Dragons!
~Next up is Curt Canon and Zane Zamota. Checkers decides not to come along, not being too big a fan of the water. He waves to Curt, who waves back, using the pugil stick to make his wave higher. Unfortunately, the match has begun, and Zamota clocks him from behind, sending Canon quickly into the water.~
Pryde: Winner - Zamota of Verde VIP's!
~Fourth is Sam Houston vs. Kalinda Kriegsdottir, and the two have an epic duel, with Houston doing his best to stay up on the platform. But Kalinda shifts her weight effortlessly, and after a few strong hits, Houston is sent off, and Kriegsdottir raises her weapon above her head.~
Pryde: Winner - Kriegsdottir of the Blue Dragons!
~Fifth is Detective Jack Puffer and Matt Meyhu. Puffer spends a lot of time trying to figure out the platform, as if being curious how it works. He's constantly shifting the weight around and trying to look underneath, nearly throwing Meyhu off just by accident. But Meyhu finally hangs on, and tosses his pugil stick over to Puffer, who instinctively catches it. The small increase in weight is enough, and Puffer tumbles backwards.~
Pryde: Winner - Meyhu of Verde VIP's!
~Since Uber Man isn't here, Alvarez fights in a Three-Way fight against Chad Vargas and Zybala. But the aggression from these three is so fierce, they all slip at the same time and fall off the platform, keeping there from being another winner. That leaves four.~
Pryde: So it looks like we've got Harold Jones vs. Zane Zamota and Kalinda Kriegsdottir vs. Matt Meyhu! Final four!
~We see the duel between Jones and Zamota, with Jones side-stepping and trying to use the same legsweep maneuver, only to have Zamota jump over it and get a backhanded shot that sends Jones into the waves. The next duel between Kalinda and Meyhu is the longest one of the night, with Kalinda almost sending Meyhu off, but getting caught by a shift of Meyhu's feet. Kalinda goes in, and Meyhu barely manages to right himself, staying alive.~
Pryde: It's down to two from the same tribe! Verde VIP's get their first tribal victory, but who will gain individual honors?
~Meyhu and Zamota face off as friendly rivals, but it soon gets more and more competitive, as both nearly take a tumble at different points. The rest of the wrestlers watch, probably hoping that both go in, so there won't be an individual winner. Zamota goes for a tricky behind-the-back swing and nearly catches Meyhu, but his reflexes save him, and he grabs the stick. Zamota tries to yank it away, but can't, with Meyhu disarming him. Zamota tries one more desperation maneuver, trying for a leg tackle, but Meyhu is able to get the pugil stick between them. Both stumble backwards, with Meyhu dropping the stick and grabbing for the edge. Zamota tries the same move, but a second too late, and falls away, even as Meyhu clings desperately to the edge as he tilts over at a sharp angle. It takes some muscle, but Meyhu manages to get back up and stands upright, officially winning the challenge.~
Pryde: Congratulations, Verde VIP's Tribe! The fishing supplies are yours! And Matt... this envelope is for you...
~Pryde hands over the envelope, and Meyhu opens it, reading it silently. He looks at Pryde, then walks away, deep in thought. Pryde waits patiently, as the rest of the competitors look on, some still drying themselves off. Some definitely look concerned. After thinking it over, Meyhu walks back and talks quietly to Pryde, apparently making his decision. Pryde nods, then turns to the anxious wrestlers.~
Pryde: Alright. So here's the gist of it. With the victory, Matt Meyhu had a choice to make. He was given the ability to send one person to Exile Island. Right now.
~Worried glances go around for the members of Cantadora and Blue Dragons.~
Pryde: That means the person who goes to Exile Island will miss tomorrow's Tribal Immunity Challenge. BUT, they will be back in time for Tribal Council, if their tribe loses the challenge. The other twist? Meyhu could choose himself, and be given extra clues to try and find the immunity idol. It would keep him from competing tomorrow as well, the same rules would apply, he would just get more hints.
~It's clear how a couple of the wrestlers would make their decision. They're amped up about the second choice.~
Pryde: Matt... let the tribes know your decision...
Matt Meyhu: Sorry for the delay. This is a tough choice... but I decided I'm going to send Detective Jack Puffer.
~Puffer jumps up, excited to hear his name... and then realizes that this isn't necessarily a good thing.~
Pryde: Sorry, Puffer... but you're headed back to Exile Island, and you will NOT be competing tomorrow night. The rest of you? Get some sleep. Because you'll be fighting for the pride of your tribe tomorrow. See you later.
~Everyone else leaves, and Puffer tries to as well, but security is there to make sure he can't get away.~
VERDE VIPS TRIBE
Celebration
_______________
~We go to the Verde VIP tribe after the challenge, where the members are celebrating getting their first win here at OCW Survivor. Sammy 3.0 is off to the side, not moving, while Houston and Zamota sit around the campfire, basking in the glow of the flame. A sign has been posted nearby, clearly hand-drawn, that shows a stick figure Uber Man along with a "Missing" message. The group turns as Matt Meyhu drags the tribe's new canoe up onto the shore.~
Matt Meyhu: Last season, I proved to everyone what an expert fisherman I am. I'm struggling a bit this time around though...
~Meyhu reaches down and scoops up a pile of fish from inside the canoe. He can barely keep them all in his arms as he heads toward camp.~
Matt Meyhu: Who's hungry?!
~Houston and Zamota stand up, excited, as Meyhu brings in his huge haul.~
CANTADORA TRIBE
Handicap Or Inspiration?
_______________
~Back at the Cantadora camp, the three remaining tribes members don't appear to be taking the reward challenge result well. While The Incredible One and Annie Alvarez discuss some strategy near the fire, Vargas lashes out at the nearby jungle. He chooses a smaller tree and starts kicking away at it with full strength, managing to crack the tree and knock the top part over. He boots the stump a few times as well before returning to camp.~
Chad Vargas: So this ass hole Pryde is really gonna make us do our immunity challenge without the good detective?! That's some weak ass shit! Annie, TIO, you agree!?
The Incredible One: Yeah, it sucks, but we got to do it. Let's just prove we are an extremely effective trio. Don't back us in the corner! I know I didn't do great the last two challenges; I'm looking to redeem myself this time.
~Annie is quiet, but looking determined, as she waits for the challenge time to come around. We fade to a few nature shots and some dramatic music, as we build towards a very important challenge.~
TRIBAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Shouldering The Load
_______________
~We first see the Cantadora tribe make their way out of the darkness, with only three members being present, as Puffer was exiled yesterday. The Blue Dragons come out next, with their full component of wrestlers. Finally, the winners yesterday, Verde VIP's, come out, with The Uber Man still nowhere to be found. The three tribes approach the challenge area, which has been set up with multiple stands holding poles. To the side, a number of bags can be seen, stacked. Pryde is waiting nearby, enjoying the discomfort as a few of the more knowledgeable Survivor fans have an inkling of where this is going.~
Pryde: Welcome, tribes. As you can see, we've got a fun little tribal immunity challenge set up for you. This challenge is normally referred to as "Shouldering The Load". What's going to happen is this. Each tribe will choose members to go and stand with those poles on their shoulders. Every 10 minutes, weights will be added. It will be up to other tribe members to decide who gets the weights. When one person can no longer handle the weight, they're out of the challenge. We'll continue until there is only one tribe left standing. That tribe will be the winner. Any questions?
~Annie raises her hand.~
Annie Alvarez: I notice our tribe only has two pole areas.
Pryde: Well, you guys can't exactly do more than two. After all, someone has to place weights for your tribe, right? That's part of your disadvantage for having Detective Jack Puffer sent to Exile Island. Everyone else gets three people. You get two. Make a wise decision on how you're going to play this.
~Vargas is pissed, and Annie and TIO don't look much happier. The three tribes discuss amongst themselves, and decisions are made. Soon, TIO & Vargas are in position for Cantadora Tribe. Kalinda, Canon, and Zybala are ready for Blue Dragons. Zamota, Sammy 3.0, and Meyhu are set up for Verde VIP's. The rest are ready to place the weights.~
Pryde: Looks like we're all set. So let's get started. Each tribe place their first weights.
~Annie immediately places her weight on Sammy 3.0. Juliet follows suit, deciding to do a double attack. Houston, meanwhile, puts his weight on Zybala.~
Pryde: Alright, the 10 minutes starts now.
~Sammy 3.0 is already struggling with 40 lbs. Zybala doesn't look very comfortable with 20 lbs on one side, not balanced out. Everyone else just looks bored. The time passes quickly.~
Pryde: Time! Everyone get ready, more weight is coming...
~Annie continues her strategy and gives weight to Sammy 3.0. This time, it's Harold making the choice, and he opts for a different direction, giving weight to The Incredible One. Houston puts more weight on Zybala, who looks happy to have weight on the opposite side.~
Pryde: The next 10 minutes begins...
~Sammy 3.0 falls over suddenly, laying flat on the ground.~
Pryde: Okay... Sammy's out. Moving on, start the clock!
~Sammy's helped off, while everyone else sits through the time limit. We start to get a montage, as the weights are scattered out between the competitors. Soon, everyone has some weight on their poles. Zybala has gotten a fair amount now, and is straining, but we see him finally falter, with a couple of weighted bags sliding off one side.~
Pryde: You're out, Zybala. Two left for every tribe.
~A few minutes later, we focus on Curt Canon, who is doing okay with the weights on his shoulders. However, he is also in an argument with Checkers, who is feeling pretty bored with all the waiting around.~
Curt Canon: C'mon, Checkers, I can't do anything right now! Go explore or something...
~Checkers grumbles to himself and hops off, and Canon tries to concentrate on keeping the weights balanced. Suddenly, out of the jungle, a piece of fruit comes flying in, hitting Canon in the chest! He jumps, surprised... and loses some bags.~
Pryde: Curt Canon is out! Sorry, Curt.
~Grumbling and wondering where the fruit came from, Canon goes to sit down next to Zybala. The contest continues, and after a few more montage clips, we see each wrestler has at least 100 pounds that they're holding up. This is a long contest. Finally, the weight is too much for Zane Zamota, who slips slightly and drops the weights.~
Pryde: Zane Zamota is eliminated! Both Blue Dragons and Verde VIP's are down to one person left! Amazingly, somehow Cantadora has two!
~Matt Meyhu and Kalinda Kriegsdottir stare over at each other, knowing that they've both got to hang on to avoid immunity. Meanwhile, Brooks & Jones are talking over strategy. They signal to Houston, and the three confer for a moment. When the time runs out again, both tribe members head for The Incredible One, weighing him down even more. TIO is around 200 pounds now, and it's really starting to cause him to strain. Annie is giving her weights separately between Kalinda and Meyhu, but neither have budged. After a few more rounds, it's finally too much for TIO, as he drops to a knee, painfully bowing out.~
The Incredible One: Dammit!
Chad Vargas: Don't worry, TIO, I got this. WEAK ASS CHALLENGE!!
~Brooks and Houston give their next weights to Vargas, trying to knock him out, but Vargas is letting his anger fuel him to stay up. Annie puts more weight on Kalinda, who is proudly standing, trying to stay completely focused. But all it takes is a tiny shift to throw things off-balance, and suddenly Kalinda feels a single bag slide to the edge of the pole. Kalinda tries to find a way to rebalance it... and does, sliding it back up. It's a very near miss.~
Pryde: We almost had a decision, but the fight goes on... and on... and on...
~Annie next puts weight on Meyhu, and Brooks, sensing how close that was for Kalinda, opts to head that way too, stacking it up on Meyhu. Houston, annoyed, still puts his weights with Vargas, who is showing no signs of budging. The game continues, as the sun has moved a great distance in the sky at this point.~
Pryde: Hell of a challenge. Any of you holding poles want some water? Well, then, drop your weights, and we'll let you have some. No? Damn. I was hoping that would work. Oh well. The game goes on...
~After another montage, it looks like each wrestler is now carrying an immense amount of weight. It's unclear if the poles can continue to handle the strain being put on them after such a long period. The camera pans out, showing all three competitors, as more weight is added to all three. Kalinda is still staying focused, even with bags once again reaching near the end of the pole. But the same is happening to both Meyhu and Vargas. It's touch and go for a few minutes, with everyone giving their all. In the end, though... a gust of wind hits, and the slippage happens, finally, sending a bag to the sand below.~
Pryde: That does it! Meyhu is eliminated! Verde VIP's is going to Tribal Council!
~Meyhu, furious, throws off the pole and the remaining weight. The other two keep going for another minute, but Kalinda's focus faded slightly thanks to knowing that elimination had been avoided. A bag finally falls, and Kalinda is out. Vargas, with a shout of triumph, launches his pole in the air.~
Pryde: Congrats, Vargas! Victory for the Cantadora Tribe! If you look behind you, we've got a little feast set up for the three of you. Verde VIP's, I'm afraid I have nothing for you other than we'll see you at Tribal Council. See you later.
~Meyhu is still furious, kicking at the sand. Houston and Zamota look pretty dejected. Sammy 3.0 still hasn't moved much. We fade out.~
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Verde VIP's
_______________
~The tribal council area is as ominous as ever. Very few 'good' things have happened there in the history of OCW Survivor. The Verde VIP's tribe approaches up the stairs, making sure to pick up some torches along the way.~
Pryde: Verde VIP's, this is your first time here, so please light your torches here in the central fire pit. The fire on your torch represents life on the sialdn. You do not want that fire to go out. Once it is extinguished, your time in the game will be over.
~This is the third and final time Pryde had to give that speech, so he appears pleased that it's over with. None of the tribal members in front of him seem to share that enthusiasm.~
Pryde: So first off, let's talk about the reward challenge. Matt, you won out over 13 other survivors to claim victory for your tribe. It must have felt good, getting that first victory out of the way. But you also had to make a tough choice, sending Detective Jack Puffer to Exile Island. Do you still feel good about that choice, putting the team's well-being ahead of your own?
Matt Meyhu: I'm fine with the decision... For the most part. You go crazy over there! And Puffer already seems halfway crazy, so no harm was done there. And at the end of the day, the object was to weaken that tribe for the challenge... Obviously it didn't weaken them enough. If I could go back, knowing we were going to lose anyway, yeah I probably would have gone myself.
Pryde: Understandable. Speaking of, talk to me about how the tribal immunity challenge went in your view.
Matt Meyhu: It was tough. I lasted as long as I could... My bags must have weighed more or something! As for what we could have done better, Ed has been great in these challenges. We should have given him a chance to handle that pressure. You know, we aren't exactly all on a level playing field here... I think most of us want to win, and one of us wants to just sit in the sand all day. Literally. That's all Sammy does.
Pryde: Some strong praise for you there, Ed. As the sole member putting weights out on the competition, you seemed to have a strong strategy at first, taking out Zybala and adding weight to Curt Canon. In retrospect, do you wish you would have been in the competition instead?
Ed Houston: I don't go back and relive the past. It is what it is. Some people just let you down.
Pryde: Sammy 3.0, you were the first one out of the challenge, after both Annie and Julliet targeted you. Do you think that's going to affect how your tribe votes here tonight?
Sammy 3.0: ...
Pryde: I see you're as talkative here as you are at your camp. Alright. So, with that said, I want to ask you all a question: has anyone heard anything from The Uber Man?
~All of the tribe members shake their heads. Pryde doesn't seem too concerned.~
Pryde: Eh, he should be back this weekend. If not, we'll send out a search party.
~The tribe nods, expecting The Uber Man back any day now from his adventure.~
Pryde: Okay then, let's get to the voting. Remember, you can write down any name in your tribe except for your own. That does include anyone who is missing in action. Let's get to it.
~The music plays, the cameras zoom out, and we see the members of the Verde VIP's tribe get up and one by one turn in their votes. Sammy 3.0 doesn't seem too interested in participating, turning in a completely blank sheet. The Uber Man, of course, turns in nothing.~
Pryde: I'll go tally the votes...
~Pryde collects the votes from the urn and heads back, barely doing any sorting.~
Pryde: I'm just going to throw out this blank vote. People, we provide pens for a reason. For the rest of these, once the votes are read, the decision is final. Whoever is eliminated will be brought forward to have their torch extinguished. Let's read the votes...
Second Vote - Sammy 3.0
~Sammy 3.0 seems to be trying to analyze the voting, as it's going completely against the android at this point.~
Pryde: That does it. Sammy, please bring me your torch.
~Sammy 3.0 comes up slowly, still experiencing issues after being out in the elements. Pryde takes the torch.~
Pryde: Sammy... your tribe has spoken.
~Pryde puts the torch out, and the smoke circles upwards. Sammy 3.0 slowly moves down the path, as nobody seems saddened to see the android depart.~
Pryde: Verde VIP's, you can now head back to your camp. You made your decision to try and improve your tribe. We'll see in the next few days if you succeeded. Good night.
~Meyhu leads his team out, already talking about going out fishing again. The group moves off, into the darkness.~
- The Verde VIP's will try to recover from their first trip to Tribal Council. Will a certain Uber Man make his return?
- Will the yo-yo trip of the Cantadora tribe continue, after two victories with a Tribal Council visit in-between? Or can they find a way to stabilize once Detective Puffer is back from Exile?
- The Blue Dragons have stabilized, but they're still coming up short. Can they find a way to win in the next week?
- And will all the tribes be ready for what's on the horizon?
