Tag team fans always seem to get the short end of the stick in this industry. Time after time, promotion after promotion do their best to get the belts over only for the inevitable to happen. The bottom drops out. Partners with singles aspirations go their separate ways. The belts return to a state of disrepair.
Late 2018 OCW held their second annual Margarita Mix, a tournament of mishmashed teams vying to revive the somewhat defunct division. Vincent Langston and Melinda Rhodes defeated Curt Canon and Scott Syren for the belts. The division appeared strong.
Two months later the belts were held hostage by an elderly manager. Rhodes was gone. Langston held the Savage Championship with OCW Title hopes in his sights. The belts, once again, meant next to nothing.
2019 began with a narrative of breathing life back into the tag division. Six star studded teams did battle at Throwback, all vying to snare the eye of OCW management in the hopes they’d be pegged as the team to helm the division heading into the new year.
That team was selected this past Monday. Bob Grenier and Chad Vargas are the new OCW Tag Team Champions. Can they do the impossible? Can Grenier and Vargas revive and maintain the tag team division? Stay tuned to find out.

It was nearly twenty years ago when Paul Paras last experienced an opportunity to capture the OCW Championship. Razorbacked was the event. Everlast, winner of a 30 man rumble, had defeated Shadow Stalker to earn the OCW Championship. Paul Paras was next in line to challenge for the title on that same evening.
The Perfect One did not disappoint. He took hold of his opportunity and defeated a man many deemed unbeatable. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Everlast was a marvel back in 2001. He came into OCW and took the promotion by storm. It wasn’t until he ran into ‘Perfect’ Paul Paras that OCW fans and members came to realize that no man, no matter how talented, is unbeatable.
Here we are, eighteen years later. It seems as though that message has been forgotten. Another marvel, Matt Meyhu has conquered every challenge set before him. It’s regenerated rumors that this man, this marvel is truly unbeatable.
Enter a familiar face – Paul Paras. The Perfect One, as he did all those years ago, looks to once again debunk myth being passed down as fact. He looks to once again hoist the OCW Championship high in the air. He looks to once again prove that in OCW, on any given night the unbeatable is prone.
Paul Paras and Matt Meyhu are slated to compete at Throwback for Meyhu’s OCW Championship. You won’t want to miss this one.

Way back in the year 2018 a man named Ed Houston defeated OCW legend Bob Grenier to earn a shot at the OCW Savage Championship. Sadly, 2018 would come and go without Mr. Houston receiving the opportunity to cash in his earned title shot.
Blame Death March. Blame Marcus Welsh. Blame WEAK ASS BOOKING. Whatever the case may have been, Ed was forced to sit on his title shot far longer than he should have.
His opportunity to cash in finally arrived this past Monday at Massacre. Ed was slated to face Vincent Langston in the main event of Massacre. The Rocket Man, winner of several year-end awards, gave it his all in the greatest performance of his OCW career.
In fact, he had Langston beat until Mack O’Connor interrupted the match, costing Ed his shot. Langston would go on to survive, retaining his Savage Championship. Langston will now move ahead and face the man that attacked him after his epic encounter with Ed Houston, Aidan Collins.
As for Houston, it appears as though Ed has a date with Mack O’Connor for the Paradigm Championship at Throwback.
